The Department of Accountability and Research

The Department of Accountability and Research provides direct support to schools, TUSD staff and faculty, parents and district administration. We respond to data/analysis requests, supply data and technical assistance in support of district initiatives such as Strategic Planning, Success for Children, and program evaluations and reporting, in addition to coordinating state mandated testing (AIMS, Terra Nova, and NAEP testing).

We also represent TUSD on state-level advisory committees for AIMS and Stanford 10 testing and accountability, explain evaluation needs, and No Child Left Behind (NCLB) compliance issues to Principals, coordinate Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP), Accountability and Results Notification System (AZ LEARNS), and Title III Appeals, provide data to support decision making and instruction, and train TUSD personnel and stakeholders in the effective use of data.
