The TUSDStats Website

The Accountability and Research Department is responsible for and maintains the TUSDStats website. While providing a vast amount of information and data to schools, TUSD staff and faculty, parents, and district administration, TUSDStats also serves three main functions: data reporting, data collection, and surveys and research.

Data Reporting

TUSDStats provides both timely assessment and demographic data to users on the website. Two levels of assessment data including school, district and student level data are reported. These reports consist of test scores, analyses and comparisons of AIMS, CCSA, Terra Nova, Stanford 9, and SAT/ACT. Available in a variety of formats grouped by school, grade, gender, ethnic breakdowns, and multiple year results, TUSDStats utilizes this achievement data to facilitate teachers understanding of testing standards linked to test scores. In addition, TUSDStats provides the necessary assessment data to help faculty recognize which performance objectives should be focused on in the classroom. Like assessment data, demographic data is also available at the school, district and student level. Information such as attendance, enrollment, mobility, and drop-out rates are provided.

Data Entry

The second function TUSDStats serves is data that promote district initiatives and accountability measures. The primary programs utilizing this function are: Elementary Progress Reports, Quarterly Writing, Title I Student Selection, Kindergarten Assessment, Success+ Summer School, School Council Membership, and Tax Credit Donations.

Surveys and Research

In addition to publishing achievement data and coordinating data entry efforts, the Accountability and Research Department conducts surveys and research and publishes results. Some of these investigations focus on surveys and needs assessments of past and present programs to facilitate future decision making. The Surveys and Research link provides summary statistics and executive summaries of completed surveys such as the Senior Survey and School Quality Survey.
